If you would like to become a Catholic, this usually involves attending our instruction in Faith course called RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults). This is a 6-month course that runs every year, and usually starts in late September and runs through to Easter of the following year (usually April time). It involves weekly evening sessions in which you can learn more about the Catholic Faith.
RCIA (Adult programme to explore and deepen your knowledge of the Catholic Faith).
These interesting and enjoyable sessions are for anyone who would like to learn more about the Catholic Faith (and for Catholics who would like to learn more or support a friend or family member). Sessions will take place on Wednesday evenings 7.30 – 9.00 at Coolock, (Convent, Stubbs Gate, Newcastle) starting with an introductory evening on Wednesday October 1st.
If you are considering becoming a Catholic, please speak to the parish priest if possible, to discuss the best way forward. Please try and attend the introductory session. Anyone is welcome to all or some of the sessions.
For further information, see the parish priest or contact Barbara Davies, catechist, 07401201272 or email [email protected]If you are interesting in enrolling, please contact the parish via phone or email for more details.
If you are already Catholic, here are also some links to resources to help you to grow in your faith.
Please feel free to contact the parish to suggest more!
