 If you wish to discuss the Sacraments with a priest, 
  • Please ring the presbytery on 01782 616483 to arrange

For the Sacrament of Holy Baptism
  • Please ask one of the steward at Mass or go to the Sacristy to request a Baptism form. The form is to be returned to the Parish Office and Barbara, the Parish Catechist, will be in touch with you. 
For the Sacrament of the Sick
  • if you would like a priest to visit you or a sick family member or friend at home, please ring the presbytery (01782 616483) to arrange. 
  • if you would like a loved one to be visited in hospital, then please ring the presbytery (01782 616483) or the chaplaincy service at the Royal Stoke hospital (UHNM) at 01782 676400. If one of the priests is not already on-call at the hospital, then he needs permission from the sick person or a friend / family member to be able to enter the hospital and visit. Many thanks!

Holy Communion to the sick: If you would like Holy Communion to be taken to you, or know somebody who does, please email Canon Paul at [email protected] 

Sacramental Preparation for Catholic children not attending a Catholic school.
Preparation classes will be beginning on Saturday 4th October for
  • First Holy Communion (children Year 3 and above) – 9.30 – 11.00 am
  • Confirmation (children Year 6 and above)  11.30 – 1.00
At Coolock, (Convent on Stubbs Gate, Newcastle). Classes each Saturday in term time.
Please collect and complete an application form from your parish priest after mass, and return it to church. For further details contact Barbara Davies, catechist, 07401201272 or email [email protected].
 
RCIA (Adult programme to explore and deepen your knowledge of the Catholic Faith).
These interesting and enjoyable sessions are for anyone who would like to learn more about the Catholic Faith (and for Catholics who would like to learn more or support a friend or family member). Sessions will take place on Wednesday evenings 7.30 – 9.00 at Coolock, (Convent, Stubbs Gate, Newcastle) starting with an introductory evening on Wednesday October 1st.
If you are considering becoming a Catholic, please speak to the parish priest if possible, to discuss the best way forward. Please try and attend the introductory session.
Anyone is welcome to all or some of the sessions.
